Adding Sound

This week we are blogging about adding sound.  In my game I plan to have my sound like people laughing and having a good time in a restrant. Theses sounds will help the game play and the learing experience of my game by making it seem like your at the restrant.  I think the sounds in the game is important because it makes students really get in the game and enjoy it more.Thanks for reading my blog!

add input mouse

On the input mouse I picked this (fla) file that was made by the senoritas which is Tori and Hannah.  I like there fla file because it looks like they took a lot of time and effort in it, such as drawing there own drawings and they made there bird go to the bird house. Working in Flash

When I first started working in flash it was hard, but it got easier a long the way.  I like flash because it is challenging but fun.  I also like flash because you learn new things.  Flash has been going pretty good for me, I have had some problems while using flash, but my globaloria teacher and my partner, always helps me when it is needed.  There are many topics to do on flash, like adding keyboards and adding animation. Adding Animation

Adding Animation is kinda hard but really fun to make.  The animation I have picked is about people cutting down trees and hurting the earth.  I really didn't understand how to make animation when I first started, but now I like making animation so much sometimes I make them just for fun. My first animation that I made was about a heart that moves up to the top right corner, then it comes back down to the middle. I have many other ideas for animation but I haven't got around to making them yet, but I can't wait to make them. I think that animation is one of the easiest and funnest things to do on flash. Well thats all for this week, Thanks for reading.

Adding Buttons

Yesterday my globaloria teacher tought my class how to make a button on flash.  It was pretty easy but kinda hard. First we made some type of shape, then we went to modify and then clicked convert to symbols then clicked the button. Next we clicked what color you wanted for our button. Then to test your button you click (ctrl) enter. Well thats all for this week thanks for reading.

Flash Game

My class mates and I have been making our game scenes on flash. The progress to this point has been kinda hard but still fun. My main struggles are adding bottons and scenes, but each day I am learning more. My success in my game is drawing the scenes it is kinda easy and very fun. Adding Scenes

It's Friday and this week we are blogging about adding scenes.  I am using  visual storytelling through my sequence of scenes to help players learn about your topic so they will understand the game better.  Some examples of games I played in playing to learn was  The Race for Justice and  WV Animal Rescue Squad. Those games gave me good storytelling.Other narrative games influenced my game because I got better idaes for my game the more I play others. Well thats it for now thanks for reading my blog.

What I've learned new about my game

 This week my blog topic is about what new idea I have learned about my game topic since I started this cource.  One new thing I've learned about my game topic since I started this course is working out input and output tables which it my game topic.  I really didn't understand how to work out input and output, but since me and my partner has been making our game it has gave me a better understanding about input and output tables.  What helped me to gain this understanding was my partner and I making input and output tables for our game.  What made this research facts about input and output tables trustworthy was the hard work me and my partner has put into our game by searching on wikipedia and website like that. Paper Prototype Assignment

When my partner and I started our paper prototype assignment I was excited. The assignment has helped me think more clearly about my game because it has gave me a better idea about my game design.  I have had some trouble making my paper prtotype but me and my partner worked together and made it through.  The assignment has caused me to modify my ideas in some ways.  It has gave me new ideas for my game like the way it looks and the way it is set up.  I think my game will be a success!

Well today is Friday so its blog day.  My synopsis of my game is.....Our game topic is going to be along the lines of adventure and maybe even strategy.  We want our game to either be working in a resturant or saling cloths.  We are planning on making a game that you must find the input and output table.  I think the game we are going to make will be fun and educational to all students.  We want to make a input and output game because I think students will enjoy learning input output tables in a fun way.  Input output tables can be hard to use at times so I'm hoping my game will teach students how to use them better.  I hope you will enjoy my input output game.  I am most excited about starting my game is making the characters in the game.  I think it will be hard but fun to make characters in my game but I can't wait to get started!

The types of games I play

The types of games I like to play in my free time is exerciseing games for example the wii fit game.  I like playing wii fit because it helps people of all ages stay in shape.  I also like playing wii fit because it helps you not to be a couch potato all the time and not be lazying around all the time.  This game has helped me in many ways such as helping me stay in shape, helping me build muscles and help me feel better.  This topic has gave me a new perspective now because before I played wii fit I was just a couch potato but now I am in shape and I feel great!  You should play wii fit and see how you feel after you play it. intorducing me and my topic

My name is Kaitlyn  I am a student at Sandy River Middle school.  My birthday in July 29th.  I am in Mr.Lester's 7th grade globaloria class, I really enjoy it.  My partner in globaloria is Kaitlin Cline she is very nice and smart we get along really good. My favorite thing's to do in my free time is spending time with my friends and family and playing on myspace and Facebook.  I also enjoy lising to music one of my favorite songs is the you found me by the fray. I am also on the flag team at SRMS, it is very fun.  My favorite subject in school is English it is a subject where you can learn something new every day. My game topic is input and output I think it will help students learn how to use input and output tables better.  I would like to make a game about input and output that is about adventure around the world.  I also would like to make a game about input and output that has all types of input and output equations. My game idea's

Yesterday me and my class mates played games that other students made.  The two games I played was WV Animal Rescue Squad and Nothing But Net. My favorite one out of those two was WV Animal Rescue.  The Genre's I am most interested in is adventure, action, and sports.  I would like to make a adventure game that includes the basics of social studes, students can travel around the world learning new things.  The game I would make for the sports genre is a basketball game that teachs students about math.  The action game I would like to make is students trying to find the evil velon who has stole the science experiment and the students will have to answer questions to get the experiment. What I am exspecting to do in globaloria

What I hope to do in the globaloria course is learn how to make educational games for kids to help them understand there work better.  The game that I am hoping to make is a educational but fun math game that teaches fraction's and desimals to the students.  What I am most excited about in globaloria is learning how to make video games that students will enjoy and will learn from it also.  What I am most scared about in glodaloria is the students might not enjoy my games that I made and I might not understand how to make a video game as good as hoped to.  Thank you for reading my blog
